The Plaza Hotel Lucchesi is situated along the bank of the Arno on the Lungarno della Zecca Vecchia, between the river and the Church of Santa Croce. The location is strategic for exploring the city on foot. Indeed Florence’s main attractions are just a few minutes away.
Ponte Vecchio: 650 metres
Uffizi: 650 metres
Duomo: 1 km
Galleria dell’Accademia: 1,5 metres
Santa Croce: 300 metres
In spite of its central location, Plaza Lucchesi is easily reached by car as well, as we are outside of the controlled traffic zone (“ZTL”). The Hotel has a private garage.
From Amerigo Vespucci Airport

From the A1 motorway
Take the “Firenze Sud” exit and get on the expressway. Proceed first on Via Giovanni Agnelli and then on Via Marco Polo for about two kilometres until you reach the bridge “Ponte del Varlungo”. After the bridge turn left onto Via Enrico De Nicola, continue on Via della Casaccia and then turn left onto Lungarno Aldo Moro (about 1.5 km). Continue on Lungarno Cristoforo and then on Lungarno del Tempio (about 1.3 km). Turn right onto Viale Giovanni Amendola; after about 200 metres, turn left onto Viale Duca degli Abruzzi and bear left onto Viale della Giovine Italia, staying in the right lane. At Piazza Piave turn right onto Lungarno della Zecca Vecchia.
You’ll find Plaza Hotel Lucchesi 300 metres down this road on the right. As we are just outside the controlled traffic zone (“ZTL”), it is not necessary for you to register your car to have access to the Hotel. On the other hand, if you do drive into the controlled traffic zone without authorization, we are not able to claim that you needed to do so in order to reach the Hotel.
